International conferences

PIRI will not operate as a conference mill. Meetings carry peer review and proceedings DOIs, are hosted in Hokuto / Yatsugatake, and seek a university co-sponsor.

Autumn 2027 — Hokuto / Yatsugatake, Yamanashi, Japan

PIRI International Conference on Trustworthy Intelligent Systems (PIRI-TIS 2027)

Flagship peer-reviewed conference. Tracks: behavioural biometrics, privacy & federated learning, assistive AI, and regional digital transformation. Proceedings indexed via Crossref DOIs; IEEE/Springer partnership to be pursued after the first steering-committee cycle.

Summer, from 2026

Yatsugatake Research Symposium (annual, invitation + open poster)

A compact highland symposium for university partners, municipal officers, and early-career researchers. Designed as a nichie (niche) gathering that is fundable under local-government international-exchange and digital-garden programmes.

Conference funding (to be applied)

Treat the meeting itself as a fundable instrument.

No award has been made. IEEE/Springer co-sponsorship follows a steering committee and proceedings DOIs. Scopus conference coverage is not claimed until a technical-sponsor contract exists.

JST Sakura Science

Short-stay invitation of overseas early-career researchers. Stronger with a university co-host.

JSPS bilateral exchange

Seminars and researcher exchange. Requires a counterpart university.

Yamanashi / Hokuto international-exchange and meeting-hosting

Hosting an international meeting in a regional city is itself a policy instrument for PIRI-TIS and the Yatsugatake symposium.

IEEE / ACM technical co-sponsorship

Apply after a steering committee and proceedings DOIs. Do not brand year-one as an IEEE conference.

Foundation meeting and publication grants (TAF and others)

Proceedings DOIs and a public report are the deliverables.
