Programmes
PIRI does not claim to be a general AI institute. Divisions are cut to the founders’ reviewed record and to problems Yamanashi can fund.
PIRI is not a degree-awarding university, a hospital, or a quantum-hardware laboratory. Laboratories in formation are computational programmes tied to the reviewed record and to Hokuto fieldwork. No grant has been awarded yet.
PIRI-BB
01
Active
Continuous multimodal authentication, gait, keystroke and sensor fusion, with privacy-preserving enrolment and quantum-resistant zero-trust architectures.
PIRI-SD
02
Active
High-fidelity synthetic datasets, federated multimodal attention, and empirical privacy assurance for health, robotics, and identity research.
PIRI-AH
03
Active
AI for aging societies, gait-based health-risk detection, EHR-focused diagnostic models, and assistive navigation — aligned with Hokuto and Yamanashi social needs.
PIRI-ML
04
Active
Leakage-safe algorithm recommendation, shift-aware evaluation, selective abstention, and hardware-aware model selection for tabular and multimodal tasks.
PIRI-SC
05
Active
Peer-reviewed open journals, international conference series hosted in Yamanashi, library/repository services, and indexing-ready publishing infrastructure.
Laboratories in formation
Quantum means post-quantum security, bioenergy means computational models, photonics and devices mean signal processing, and PrabhuYoga-related work is mind–body digital-health informatics. No therapeutic claims, hospital, or degree-awarding status. No grant has been awarded.

PIRI-CS
FormingReproducible computing, research software, secure infrastructure for institute datasets and journals. Complements the five active divisions.

PIRI-AI
ActiveAlready active through PIRI-BB, PIRI-SD and PIRI-ML: privacy-preserving learning, evaluation under shift, and auditable models.

PIRI-PQ
FormingFollows the published SecureBio-AI line: quantum-resistant zero-trust identity, not a claim of experimental quantum hardware. Hardware partnership will be sought with universities.

PIRI-BIOI
FormingPrivacy-preserving analysis of public and synthetic biomedical sequences and records. No clinical diagnostics are offered.

PIRI-EN
FormingModelling, sensing data, and decision support for rural energy and environment in Yamanashi — computational, not a wet-lab fuel plant.

PIRI-PH
FormingSignal models for optical and wearable sensing that support gait and identity research. Device fabrication is a university or industry partner task.

PIRI-ROB
FormingExtends published work on federated multimodal networks for healthcare and robotics, and on assistive navigation — evaluation on public or synthetic data.

PIRI-MED
FormingEHR-focused synthetic simulation and early-risk modelling as published. Not a hospital; not a medical-device manufacturer.

PIRI-DEV
FormingAlgorithms for wearable and clinical-adjacent signals under APPI. Hardware partners remain external.

PIRI-MB
FormingComputational study of contemplative and mind–body practice (including PrabhuYoga-related protocols) via wearable physiology, adherence, and digital-health trial design. Complementary-health informatics — not a claim of medical energy therapy, and not a class-booking product.
